Day-wise itinerary
Day 1
Shimla → Sangla (225 km, 8 hrs)
Pickup from Shimla. Drive along the Sutlej via Narkanda and Rampur into the Sangla valley. Night in Sangla.
Day 2
Sangla → Chitkul → Sangla
Visit Kamru Fort, Rakchham and Chitkul. Night in Sangla.
Day 3
Sangla → Kalpa (50 km)
Drive to Kalpa, visit Suicide Point and Roghi. Sunset over Kinnaur Kailash. Night in Kalpa.
Day 4
Kalpa → Khab → Nako (110 km, 4 hrs)
Follow NH-5 via Pooh, Khab confluence and Ka-zigzag. Evening at Nako lake and monastery. Night in Nako.
Day 5
Nako → Gue → Tabo (65 km)
Visit the 500-year-old Gue mummy and Tabo monastery and caves. Night in Tabo.
Day 6
Tabo → Dhankar → Pin valley → Kaza (100 km)
Dhankar monastery, detour into the Pin valley up to Mud. Night in Kaza.
Day 7
Kaza → Key → Kibber → Chicham → Kaza
Key monastery, Kibber village and the Chicham bridge. Night in Kaza.
Day 8
Kaza → Langza → Hikkim → Komic → Kaza
Buddha statue at Langza, the world’s highest post office and Komic monastery. Night in Kaza.
Day 9
Kaza → Kunzum pass → Chandratal (95 km)
Cross Kunzum la and reach the Chandratal campsite. Walk to the Moon Lake. Night in camps.
Day 10
Chandratal → Atal Tunnel → Manali (120 km)
Batal, Chhatru and the Atal Tunnel to Manali. Drop at your hotel.
